Beard

  • Keeping beard is way of the prophets.

Punishment of murder

  • Punishment of killing is killing.
  • The family of murdered can opt for compensation instead of the punishment of killing the murderer. Compensation could be in terms of wealth also.
  • Murderer should be killed as punishment whether he is a free man, a slave or she is a woman.
  • The punishment of murder by mistake is freeing a slave or monetary compensation to the family of the murdered one.
  • The family of murdered can forgive and court can let the murderer go.
  • A person who is not capable of freeing a slave must fast for two consecutive months.

Punishment of stealing

  • It is ordained to cut the hand of the thief, whether it is a man or woman, such punishments involve eye witnesses, not just verdicts based on accusations.
  • If a murder takes place during an armed robbery, the punishment is murder even if there was no looting done.
  • If the armed robber robs and murders a person, the punishment is hanging to death.
  • If the robber robs but does not murder, the penalty is cutting a hand and foot across.
  • If the armed robber is unsuccessful in the looting and murdering, the penalty is to exile or banish him from the land.
  • False accusation made on a woman regarding fornication has punishment of eighty lashes.

Punishment of fornication

  • If an unmarried man commits fornication, the punishment is hundred lashes.
  • If a man or woman who is married commits fornication, their punishment is stoning to death, the condition is four authentic eye witnesses to this sin.
